Singer/songwriter and guitarist John Crawlin' Snake Mac aka John Maciel is based in Providence, Rhode Island. He had relocated recently from New York. Mac plays Dobro, acoustic and electric guitars and harp. He plays hard driving Delta style slide blues. Crawlin' Snake Mac is influenced by the past masters but has a style all of his own. His vocals are twisted and his guitar and Dobro work is wicked. John performs solo and in various combinations.
"End O' Time Blues" was created, recorded and released in 1998. The musicians joining Mac are Rory Macleod (acoustic bass), Robert Clinton (electric bass & b. vocals), David Z. (drums, percussion & b. vocals), Bob Soiot (harp) and Mark Davis (mandolin). All of the tunes are penned by Mac except for Rory McLeod's "Chicken In The Wolfhouse". Some of them are "Wrong House For My Bed", "Marriage Vow Blues", "I Like To Drink", "Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow" and a brilliant version of "Chicken In The Wolfhouse". The end of time is here, check out these crawlin' snake blues.
