Too Slim & The Taildraggers is a three-piece energetic band from Spokane in State of Washington. The trio, who average over 250 gigs a year, are Tim "Too Slim" Langford (guitars & vocals), Tom "The Stomp" Brimm (bass) and John "Midnight" Cage (drums & percussion). These guys really know how to play and have fun. It has been said that their sound is The Paladins meet ZZ Top or as Too Slim puts it, Hank meets Hendrix. "King Size Troublemaker" is their sixth release on Burnside Records and their seventh overall. Their last CD was the 1997 "Blues For Eb".
"King Size Troublemaker" was recorded at VU Music Studios in Spokane, Washington. Dave Cebert, Steve Haldi and the band produced it. Guests are Mark Hummel (harp), Sam "lightnin" Hopkins (guitar) and Cebert adds piano. Twelve sizzling originals. From the super sonic opening title track to the closing number "Rosado" there is just no stopping these guys. In between there's "Just Like I Am", "I'm Gonna Blow", "More Must Be Better", "Feel So Good" and "Big Barn Boogie".
Too Slim & The Taildraggers are troublemakers of the very worst kind and they sure know how to produce those king size rockin' blues.
