The Radiotones are a three-piece combo from Perth in Scotland, UK. The name comes from a model of National guitar. The members of the band are founder Dave Arcari (gravely vocals & National guitar), Jim Harcus (harmonica) and Adrian (Paterson (bass). The Radiotones were born in January 1998 and in 1999 released their highly acclaimed debut CD, "Gravel Road" (BRS0198). Their sound has been described as "National guitar driven acoustic garage blues".
"Whiskey'd Up" was recorded at CaVa Sound Workshops in Glasgow, Scotland. Dave Arcari produced it. Eight of the tunes are originals. Some are "One Side Blind", "Wherever I Go", "Don't Stop", "Cool It", "Close To The Edge" and "Day Job". Covers include the well drilled "Can't Be Satisfied", "Preachin' Blues" and Willie Johnson's "Nobody's Fault But Mine". Like a good Scotch Whiskey these guys are only going to get better. Hot Caledonian Blues.
