Chris Howard & H30
Loyalty
Independent
Chris Howard & H3O are from Bateman's Bay on the New South Wales coast south of Sydney, Australia. They are keeping the music in the family. Twenty year old Chris Howard (lead vocals & guitar) is joined by his dad, Tony (bass & vocals), his sixteen year old brother Chris (drums) and friend of the family, Steve Osbourne (percussion). H3O have been playing together for over three years now and have been making a name for themselves especially at Blues Festivals.
Loyalty was mixed by Chris Gray at Graylabel, mastered at Studios 301 and released in late September 1999. All of the tracks are great and penned by Chris with the other guys helping out on a couple. Vocally Chris does lack a little. The CD opens with `One Of These Days' and closes with `Wrap It UP'. In between there is `That Boy Can Play The Blues', `Hard Workin' Man', the punchy `Beachouse Crusie', the groovy `Say You'll Be Mine', `That's The Way We Play The Blues' and the funky `Courtyard Of Tunes'.
A good debut, it's got it all. `Loyalty' is available for $28 (including postage) from H3O, PO Box 736, Bateman's Bay, NSW, 2536 or by phoning Tony Howard on (02) 4472 6300 BH or (02) 4471 3503 AH.
