Jed Cannon
Swept Away
(Independent JEDC001)
Singer/songwriter and accomplished, blues guitarist Jed Cannon is from Wollongong. Jed is 24 and he lists his influences as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, John Lennon and Crowded House. His band consists of Tony Baerwinkel (bass) and Steven Crichon (drums). This self-produced
debut release was engineered and mixed by Ed Lee at Studio Arts Productions.
Jed penned all of the tracks. The sound is mostly pop with funky blues guitar and is a diverse showcase of his many influences. The picks of the CD are the groovy Slowly but Surely, Crazy Thing, Woke up Crying, the driving Time Made a Fool and a ballad Sweet Girl with Ron Ind on harp. Time will tell as to where this will lead him. Swept Away' is available for $25 (including postage) from Jed Cannon at PO Box 187, Keiraville NSW 2500 or by phoning (02) 4229 9928.
